Why Join ESA?

ESA is the oldest and largest association representing the electronic life safety, security and systems industry. We deliver value to members through government advocacy, communications services, professional development, networking opportunities and endorsed programs. There are many advantages of membership:

Members get discounts on valued programs. For example, members get a discount on ESA’s National Training School (NTS) which is the definitive source for education and training.

The government affairs department serves as an industry watchdog, monitoring legislative activity on all levels and alerting members when the industry may be affected.

ESA provides strategic public relations efforts aimed at consumers and other key audiences.
ESA provides our members with information on the status of current and evolving standards, and serves as an industry expert and advisor in the creation and on-going development of standards. In addition to being an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited standard-writing organization, ESA also has representatives on committees of both the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and International Code Council (ICC).

Our Mission

To provide a vehicle to promote growth and professionalism of the electronic life safety industry in Ohio by advocating our members' commitment to integrity and business ethics to the general public we serve. To accomplish our mission, we provide training, peer support and legislative representation to better the position of our members on a local, state and federal basis.

About the Electronic Security Association

ESA of Ohio is a Chartered State Chapter of the Electronic Security Association (fka National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association). Our member companies specialize in a wide spectrum of services to commercial and residential consumers. ESA of Ohio brings together key individuals from top companies representing five industry components - sales, manufacturing, installation, service, and monitoring. This collective approach allows us to represent the industry as a whole, while focusing on the varying needs of these individual market sectors.

As a trade association, we represent, promote, and support the industry through a federation of
chapters, empowering members to grow their businesses. We work to build strong relationships with the law enforcement communities and municipalities in which our members do business.

We monitor state legislation to insure that our members best interests are represented to law makers in Ohio. For over 25 years, the ESA of Ohio has been proud to serve the security and life safety industry in Ohio.
